Agreement
These terms cover your use of 1zero.app and 1zero's desktop apps (1zero Browser, 1zero Code, 1zero Notetaker, 1zero File Explorer) and the online features they use, together “the services”. By using the services you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use them.
Using the apps
The apps are free. We give you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, install and use them on devices you own or control, for personal or commercial work. 1zero keeps all rights not granted here, including the 1zero name and logos. Open source components included in the apps are covered by their own licenses, which take precedence for those components.
You may not sell or redistribute the apps, remove notices from them, or present modified copies as official 1zero releases. Please download them only from 1zero.app, so you get signed builds and updates.
Acceptable use
Don't use the services to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- overload, scrape, or get around the limits of our servers, including the search, download and support endpoints;
- probe, attack or disrupt the services, except through responsible disclosure to us;
- send spam, malware, or abusive or illegal content in support reports.
You are responsible for what you do with the apps, including the sites you visit, the code you run, and the AI agents you use through them.
Third-party services
The apps connect to services we don't run: websites you visit, search engines, GitHub, Discord, Stripe, AI providers, the Chrome Web Store and others. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for their content, availability, or what they do with your data. Search results and stock or news data are provided as-is and may be inaccurate or out of date. Nothing in the apps is financial advice.
Plugins and extensions
1zero Browser plugins from our catalog are built by us. Browser extensions come from their own developers through the Chrome Web Store. Installing them is your choice and at your own risk.
Feedback and reports
When you send feedback, an issue, or a suggestion, you allow us to use it to improve the services without owing you anything. Don't include passwords or anything you don't want us to read.
Donations
Donations are voluntary gifts processed by Stripe. They don't buy goods, services, features or support, and they don't change these terms. They are not refundable except where the law requires, or at our discretion if you contact us about a mistake. You can cancel a recurring donation at any time from the link in your Stripe receipt or by emailing us. Names shown on the supporter wall must not be offensive or impersonate anyone. We may hide any name.
No warranty
The services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise that they will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that they won't lose data. Keep backups of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, 1zero and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
Ending access
You can stop using the services at any time by uninstalling the apps. We may change, suspend or stop any online feature, or block access from anyone who breaks these terms. The apps you already have keep working offline.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and note significant changes in the release notes. If you keep using the services after a change, you accept the new terms.
